Rules and regulations
Rule 1 – Registration:
At time of
registration the following must be delivered to the centre:

Copy of NRIC/passport and passport-sized photo of person authorized to
drop-off and pick-up your child at the centre. |

Consents by parents or legal guardians to all extra-curricular
activities, excursions and emergency medical care for your child as well
as third party drop-off/pick-up of your child. |

 |
Copy of custody order or a notarized certificate of legal custody in the
case of separated/divorced parents. |

Letter from current employer of a working mother confirming her
employment and monthly hours of work if she intends to apply for the
childcare subsidy available from the government (every 6 monthly,
working mothers are required to produce a similar confirmation letter to
the centre**). |

Copy of child’s sibling’s birth certificate if you intend to use the
said sibling’s baby bonus account to pay for the child’s fees. |

Confirmation by parents as to the type of meals preferred for their
children (i.e. vegetarian, halāl food or meat diet). |

This is
refundable only if the child is withdrawn during the trial period specified
below or if the requisite advance notice of withdrawal/termination in writing is
delivered as prescribed and no fees, charges or penalties are outstanding (see
rule 3, 4 and 8). |

Because
the childcare subsidy scheme for working mothers differs from that designed for
non-working mothers and because the childcare centre is required by the
authorities to verify the working status of mothers, your cooperation is
therefore requested in immediately notifying us should there be a change in your
employment status or should you change employment. |

Rule 2 – Admission, Fees and Late-fee penalties:
Before your
child can be admitted into the centre all compulsory deposits and the current
month’s fees must be prepaid in full on or before admission into the centre.
All subsequent monthly fees must be paid within the first week of each
calendar month, failing which there will be a late fee penalty of $10 per day
after the 7th day of each calendar month until payment.
No
deduction or rebate of fees will be made when a child is absent or is taken away
for a holiday or when there is a temporary closure/shutdown of the centre
ordered by the authorities.
Rule 3 – Two-week trial period entitlement:
Every new
student is entitled to a two-week trial period from his first day at the centre.
Within the two-week trial period you may withdraw your child at any time. The
daily fees payable will then be $50 for half-day care and $70 for full-day care. Your one month refundable placement
security deposit will be refunded within one week less the daily fees payable.
Rule 4 – Withdrawal policy:

Notice of withdrawal during a school term must be in writing and will be
effective only upon expiry of one full calendar month from date of delivery of
the notice. |

Example #1: |
If your notice is delivered on 31st January the notice will be effective on the
last day of February. Only fees for the month of February will be payable. |

Example #2: |
If your notice is delivered on 1st January the notice will be effective only on
the last day of February. Fees for the months of January and February will be
payable. |

Withdrawal during last month of school year: |
If you plan to withdraw your child at the end of the school year, you must give
at least two full calendar months’ notice in writing so that we can offer your
child’s place to those on our waitlist or to new students who wish to transfer
from a different session. |

Example #3: |
To withdraw your child at the end of December, you must deliver your notice no
later than 31st October. |

Consequences of non-compliance:
Your one
month refundable placement security deposit will be forfeited as damages, plus,
all monthly fees due and payable up to the effective date of your notice will
remain outstanding and payable on demand and can be deducted from any other
refundable security deposit held on your behalf.
Rule 5 – Illness, emergency and excursion:
Your child
should not be brought to the centre if he has any of the following symptoms:
Fever
Running nose
Throat infections
Sore eyes
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Measles
Chicken Pox
Mumps
Rubella
Foot and Mouth disease
SARS
Any other contagious diseases
After recovering from any contagious disease, the child will not be allowed back
to the centre without a medical certificate of clearance.
If your
child falls sick while in our care, he will be isolated from the rest of the
children and we will make every effort to contact the parents who must then make
immediate arrangements to pick up the child from the centre.
In an
emergency, the nearest medical aid will be sought and all medical fees and
incidental disbursements incurred shall be refundable by the parents on demand.
If your
child needs to consume medication during the day, you must record clearly the
medication, dosage and frequency in our medication logbook/form and sign same
each day.
In the
event of an accident, a parent is required to acknowledge notice thereof by
signing our accident logbook/form.
Rule 6 – Drop-off and pick-up of child:
The parents
must sign our prescribed form setting out the particulars of the adult (other
than the parents) authorized to drop-off and pick-up the child at/from the
centre with copy of the NRIC/Passport of the authorized adult together with a
passport-sized photo of the said adult.
The
authorized adult dropping-off or picking-up the child must enter the centre and
sign the daily attendance register.

Rule 8 – Termination:
The centre
reserves the right to require any child to be withdrawn from the centre upon
giving one calendar month’s notice in writing with or without any reason
whatsoever.
